We all love plants, but succulents have really taken storm that last few years, and why shouldn't they.They make great indoor houseplants are relatively easy to care for and are super fun to watch grow from a small cutting.


Here are 6 easy to care for succulents that help boost the mood just by looking at them.





1. Burro's-tail Sedum morganianum


A species of flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae, native to southern Mexico and Honduras. It is a succulent perennial producing trailing stems up to 60 cm long, with fleshy blue-green leaves and terminal pink to red flowers in summer.






2. Eve's Pin Austrocylindropuntia subulata



A species of cactus native to the Peruvian Andes. The name subulata comes from the Latin subulate, for awl-like, referring to the shape of the rudimentary leaves. In the wild, Eve’s Pin can reach a height of 12’ feet and a width of 5’ feet. When kept as a houseplant or container plant, its size is naturally limited.

This unusual and attractive cactus grows in a tree-like formation. 







3. Elephant Bush Portulacaria afra


A small-leaved succulent plant found in South Africa. These succulents commonly have a reddish stem and leaves that are green, but also a variegated cultivar is often seen in cultivation. They are simple to care for and make easy houseplants for a sunny location.







4. Zebra Plant Haworthiopsis fasciata


Named for the distinctive white bumps that line the outside of its leaves. In nature, it grows in the shrublands of South Africa with acidic soil and partial shade or filtered light. Its ability to tolerate low light makes it a fantastic indoor succulent.









5. String-of-pearls Curio rowleyanus, syn. Senecio rowleyanus


A beautiful, cascading succulent that will add that little quirk to any house. The plant grows fast and propagates easily and can grow both indoor and outdoor.










6. Ghost Plant Graptopetalum


A cold-hardy succulent with pale gray or whitish leaves on sprawling stems. Its versatile growth will help it stand out in your landscape as an unusual groundcover, cascading down a container, or even as a houseplant.
